~ John Keene ~ |
Creator of Native Amerlccn Mask Sculpturel John Keene was bom of Seneca Indian, Irish, Hungarian, and French ancestry but follows the way of the warrior; he lives his life in pursuit of integrity honor, beauty, & spirituality. He facilitates his search for beauty and spirit in the creation of wonderful mask sculptures that celebrate the dance masks and headdresses of the American Indian. |
The sculptures are inspired by the stories and dances of both the Plains tribes and the Pueblo indians. Rather than making reproductions, John has chosen to salute their spirit through an eclectic mix of ceremonial images. These masks are made using natural traditional methods; with additional modern techniques and ingredients used on the inner, non-visible construction to insure durability and longevity. |
