About the Artist

Anthony Sinclair was born in Santa Anna, California in 1943, and grew up in the Midwest. He graduated from Drake University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

After returning from military service, he was an art director for several years in San Diego where he became a full time fine arts painter in 1973.

Having used acrylic paint on linen for about 30 years, he started painting with oils in 1992. Sinclair produces originals in oils or acrylics depending on the subject.

Painting in "western" themes for almost 20 years, he does a variety of other subjects - race horses, landscapes, portraits, wildlife, still life - as well as commissions. He has also created 27 lithos and cast bronzes over the years. He lives in the beautiful Sierra Nevada foothills of northern California.
